Spring Wardrobe Essential: Distressed Jeans

18 Apr

Happy Friday!! I love a good pair of jeans and wear them practically everyday. Dressing them up and down is so easy. For Spring I particularly love distressed jeans. Even though they may look like they can only be worn with an old t-shirt and sneakers this is definitely not the case. Wear distressed jeans with a blazer and cute pair of heels and you are ready to go out! Check out these dressed up and dressed down versions of the distressed jean. Do you have a pair in your closet?

Spring Throw Pillows

10 Apr

Good morning! One of the easiest ways to change up a space is with new throw pillows. Need to add pattern to your sofa? Need an extra pop of color in the bedroom? Throw pillows are your answer. Often times it is far less expensive to buy a few good throw pillows than it is to buy new furniture pieces. I love to mix multiple patterns and colors. Spring is the prefect time to introduce new colors. I have rounded up some great examples of how to style multiple patterned pillows and found some beautiful pillows you can add to your home. Enjoy!

Color Obsession: Pink and Yellow

1 Apr

Good morning! Springtime calls for fresh color palettes. A color combination I am really loving right now is pink and yellow. There are so many fresh ways you can incorporate these colors into your spaces. If painting the walls is too much for you try adding in yellow and pink accessories. Pillows, drapes, a fun accent chair or artwork are all great ways to bring these colors in without committing to paint.

What do you think of this color combination? I think it is so pretty and perfect for Spring! It is definitely a color palette I would use in small doses. My favorite use of pink and yellow is with crisp white. The bold pop of color is fun and fresh. Would you use this color combination in your home?

Spring Wardrobe Essentials

21 Mar

Happy Friday! Yesterday was the first day of Spring, so that means temperatures will start to rise and you will need some key pieces to transition your wardrobe from Winter to Spring. I am sharing 4 of my favorite trends: neon, florals, pastels, and metallics.

Neon- I love a pop of neon. It adds a fun fresh look to any outfit. When wearing neon make sure to pair it with a neutral pieces or it is just too much!

Florals- Yes, I know florals are always in for Spring. There are so many great fresh ways to incorporate floral print into your outfit. Add a floral scarf or wear a great printed skirt.

Pastels- Yes another shocker. Pastels are always perfect for Spring. Blush tones and soft blues are my favorite this year. They are both popping up everywhere.

Metallics- This is a fun trend. Again, a little goes a long way. If the bold metallic shoe is too much try adding a great statement jewelry piece or bag.
