Celebrating Patriotic Style

3 Jul

I’m feeling patriotic today considering it is the 4th of July tomorrow. I sharing some beautifully designed spaces that feature red, white and blue. Red, white, and blue can sometimes be a bit too much, but these spaces do it right. They use the classic color palette in an updated way.

Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend. Happy Cinco de Mayo! In honor of the colorful holiday I have a beautiful colorful home tour for you. This British Columbia home is full of vibrant colors that make this space bright and happy. I love all the pops of orange, yellow, red and green used throughout the home. The use of white as a back drop makes the vibrant colors really stand out. This home has a fun laid-back vibe. Take a look.

Home Tour: Glam Gold Kitchen

24 Feb

Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend! I recently came across a beautiful kitchen I knew I had to share with you. This space belongs to Style at Home editor Jessica Waks. She brought this 1934 Georgian-style home into the 21st century. Black, white, and red with accents of gold are used throughout the home for a cohesive look. Take a look!

What do you think of the gold accents? Love it or is it too much? I happen to really like the gold accents. I think the gold paired with white in the kitchen is really pretty. The hood is a beautiful statement piece. What is your favorite element?

Happy Valentine’s Day!

14 Feb

Happy Valentine’s Day friends! I hope you have a day full of love with whoever your Valentine may be.

Fashion Friday: Valentine’s Day

7 Feb

Happy Friday! First of all today is the 2 year anniversary of The Suite Life Designs! I can’t believe it! I actually forgot, but wordpress reminded me. I want to take a moment to thank all of you for following along this journey. I love all your comments and likes. I hope to expand and revamp the blog to make it even better over the next year.

Valentine’s Day is a week away so I thought I would pull together a few outfit inspirations for you. To be quite honest my husband and I don’t do too much for Valentine’s Day which is fine by me. We change it up between me making a nice dinner at home and going out somewhere special. I am a casual kind of gal. I like to get dressed up every once in a while, but I much prefer to wear jeans and a nice top to a dress and heels. The outfits I have pulled together range from casual to dressy all of which are great for Valentine’s Day at home to a fancy night out.

Top | Jeans | Earrings | Ring | Flats | Bag

Top | Clutch | Pants | Flower Necklace | Jacket | Lipstick | Booties | Bracelets

Dress | Pumps | Necklace | Clutch | Lipgloss | Stacked Rings | Nail Polish

Do any of these fit your style? I happen to like them all, but I would most likely wear the first two. The last one is what I feel like I’d wear when I “grow up”. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Good morning! Today I am continuing to show you the new Pantone colors for Spring 2014. I shared the first 5 yesterday and will share the remaining 5 today. The colors we will focus on today are the brighter shades: Freesia, Cayenne, Celosia Orange, Radiant Orchid, and Dazzling Blue. These brighter colors can easily get balanced out by those softer shades I showed you yesterday.
