Home Tour: Colorful Arizona Home

8 Sep

Good morning. Today I have a stunning home tour to share with you. This Arizona home is designed by Caitlin Wilson. I love the classic lines mixed with the modern twist of color and pattern. This home uses wallpaper so beautifully. The designer states that all the color and pattern kind of becomes a neutral unto itself, and I completely agree. Take a look!

This home is visually exciting. I love all the spaces for different reasons, but if I had to choose my favorite it would have to be the office/library. The beautiful wallpaper mixed with the blue bookcases are perfect. The mirrored desk and vintage lucite chairs are the perfect addition for a workspace. What is your favorite space?

Pattern Play

4 Sep

I love playing with pattern. It takes some time to truly master mixing patterns, but keeping a few simple tips in mind really helps. Mix large scale with small, bold colors with subtle, and classic with modern. Try not to use too many colors. Stick to just a couple color families or it could become too overwhelming. Take a look how these spaces mix patterns perfectly.

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well so far! Today I am taking you on a fabulous home tour. Designers John Knott and John Fondas transformed an old hotel in Maine by layering fabric and wallpaper to energize the many rooms. The result is a bold summer house with classic American style.
