Designer Spotlight: Anne Hepfer

21 Feb

Today I am introducing you to Toronto-based interior designer Anne Hepfer. I first ran across Anne’s beautiful work on Pinterest and that led me to her beautiful portfolio. A New York native, she graduated from Parsons School of Design, majoring in Interior Architecture and Design. In 2003 Anne founded her own New York based interior design firm before relocating to Toronto. Ranked among the top 25 designers by Canadian House & Home magazine, Anne’s work sophisticated and fresh. I know you will all fall in love with her interiors as I have.

Flower Power

19 Feb

Flowers aren’t just for your grandma’s house anymore! Floral prints are making a huge comeback in modern designs and colors. This year at fashion week there were numerous designers using floral prints in their clothing and interiors are also following this trend. You can use touches of floral prints in modern ways by pairing it with other patterns or modern furniture. Choose a larger scale floral pattern in punchy colors for the most modern effect. Floral prints can be used in many different ways, but the most popular would be fabrics and wallpaper. Take a look at these spaces that use the power of the flower!

Eat In Kitchens

15 Feb

Happy Friday! I love a good eat in kitchen. Having a little nook or area to dine in around a family table is so important. I feel like no kitchen is truly complete without an eat in space. Here are some of my favorites.
