Persian-style rugs have made their way onto my radar over the last few years. Typically they are a bit traditional for my taste, but mixing them in modern interiors really excites me. They work in any style interior because they can add color and pattern without overwhelming the space. I am really smitten with the faded worn in look. I think I may need to invest in one for our bedroom. Check out some of my favorite spaces with beautiful Persian-style rugs.

We moved into our house 2 months ago and I am itching to start our first real project. First on my list is updating our master bathroom. It’s fine. Nothing special, nothing wrong except it has the WORST lighting. I am desperately wanting brighter better lighting. We will replace the lighting and then move onto the fixtures. Our faucet is pretty old and the vanity hard ware is outdated as well. One good thing about our vanity is it’s already white. I have been looking for inspiration for a while now and I have pulled together what would be ideal for our bathroom. Next step convince my husband to embrace brass.
Here is what our bathroom looks like now (well sorta this is an image taken before we moved in)
Here is what I hope it will look like after:
I am looking forward to modernizing the space, but still keeping in mind the age of the home. The hexagon tile is the perfect touch of character. Stay tuned.
