Good morning! As I mentioned Monday this past weekend my best friend put together the cutest tea party for a small group of girlfriends. (You may have seen a peek of it on my Instagram) The tea party was the perfect way to welcome Spring and a great excuse to get together with girls we don’t see as often as we would like. Everyone had a wonderful time. I think the keys to a successful tea party are: tea of course, yummy finger foods, flowers, pretty tea cups, and good company. This one had all of those and more. My friend Jen had been planning this for a while and we made multiple trips to antique stores looking for the perfect tea cups and accent pieces. We will take any excuse to visit an antique shop!
Doesn’t the table look beautiful? She mixed vintage finds with pieces given to her by her mother. The soft colors are so pretty! I really love the mix of color and finishes in the dishes. This gives a more gathered look vs. being matchy matchy.
Tea parties are so fun. I think this one will become an annual celebration! Have you ever thrown a tea party?
