Home Tour: A Layered California Home

16 Jan

Good morning! Today I am sharing a unique home tour with you. This layered California home belongs to Monica Bhargava the Executive Vice President of Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma brands. This home has a lot of global influences and layers which create a collected unique feel.

The home is furnished with not only items from Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma, but flea markets and travels. Monica has collected pieces over time to create a warm eclectic space. Monica has a touch of leather in each room along with other natural materials. She also chooses to layer area rugs which I love. The mixture of textures really makes the home cozy. What do you think of this home?

The wood and brown/cream/black color scheme really stand out in this home, without the use of bright color. I don’t know if I could be so disciplined but I like it!

So glad you like it. I usually am drawn to spaces with more color, but definitely appreciate the beauty in neutrals.
