Coastal Chic

8 Feb

I love having the relaxed feeling of being at the beach. The bright crisp colors can easily be translated into your home. There are so many great color combinations that will remind you of the ocean. I have always been drawn to the coastal style probably because I grew up so close to the beach. There are so many fresh and chic ways to incorporate the coastal beachy look into any room of your home. The use of corals, turquoises, crisp whites, and splashes of other more unexpected colors  and patterns will keep your home feeling fresh and coastal chic. To create an elegant beachside interior, you can opt for woven and wood furniture with modern lines.

To add a beachy vibe to your bedroom use an old barn door painted in this great sea foam color as your headboard. This is a fun way to bring the relaxed feeling of being outside into your bedroom.

This room is a masterpiece! The mix of the crisp white linens and the amazing coral headboard is amazing. I don’t think I could say enough good things about this headboard. I’m in love! The touch of turquoise and the coral fabric on the stools is great it pulls the whole room together. This is coastal chic! Coral and turquoise has got to be one of my favorite color combinations!

The antiqued white bed with the touch of turquoise in the pillows reminds me of the beach. The grasscloth on the walls is a perfect backdrop to the antique maps. I also love the fish eye mirrors. This is definitely a tranquil bedroom. I can imagine laying in that bed watching the waves crash on the sand…

So, enough with the bedrooms here are some amazing coastal chic spaces for the rest of your house.

This kitchen designed by Phoebe Howard is so fresh! The beautiful turquoise subway tile backsplash with the clean white counters and cabinetry definitely fits into category of coastal chic. The turquoise just makes everything POP! This kitchen gets a nice dose of warmth from the wood floors and barstools. Love it all!

Gingham drapes, blonde wood, white shutters, rattan, and turquoise hues. This makes me think of the beach. This living room has a comfortable elegance to it. This space is sophisticated and a perfect coastal living room. The surprise of animal print in the ottoman adds an unexpected and modern touch to this space.
