Home Tour: Eclectic Glam

17 Apr

Good morning! I have a stunning home tour to share with you today! I was perusing Style At Home (as I often do) and came across a home I knew I needed to share with you. I love finding spaces that use unexpected design and this home does just that. Style At Home design editor Jessica Waks transforms this home into her forever home. Every space has a new bold element. The pops of color and pattern are so fun I am completely obsessed!

Pretty fabulous right? Which is your favorite space? I am torn between the entry (because I’m obsessed with the floor), the powder room (love everything), and the den. Also pretty in love with the bedroom. So I guess I really don’t have a favorite because I love it all! Here’s how you can get the eclectic glam look for yourself!

Touches of Leopard

20 Jan

Good morning! Sorry I was MIA Friday. I came down with an awful cold and couldn’t pull myself together to post. But, I’m feeling better and inspired! I will be the first to admit if you asked me if I liked leopard print a few years back I would have said no. Not a fan. Ask me now and I love it! (In small doses) Leopard print accents are timeless and can truly act as another neutral in a space. Leopard print adds personality and a pop of style. Look at these spaces that use leopard print as a beautiful accent.

Convex Mirrors

7 Jan

Good morning! I think every space needs a mirror of some sort. Large or small. They can serve as a beautiful focal point or space filler. Not only do mirrors provide an important function they can also be so chic! One style of mirror I want to get my hands on is the convex mirror. They are unique and still provide a great reflection of light. I am looking for a small one to be an accent in a gallery wall I am working on. I found many beautiful examples of convex mirrors in all their glory. Take a look!

I love the dramatic use of color throughout the home. The eclectic mix of furnishings and pattern really make this space interesting. There are so many things that catch my eye, but my favorite space is definitely the library in the first image. I love all of the different patterns mixing together perfectly to create a warm space. Which is your favorite?

Happy Halloween!

31 Oct

Happy Halloween!! Is it just me or did it sneak up on you this year? I like Halloween, but it is definitely not one of my favorite holidays. I’ve never been a fan of the scary decor. I like more of the metalics and shine. If you saw my painted pumpkins I posted you can tell I like the gold and white/black combo. Here are some of my favorite “grown up” Halloween decor ideas.

This apartment is pretty great right? The attention to detail is so beautiful. My favorite space has to be the living room. As I have said MANY times I am a huge fan of a colored sofa (particularly navy) so this space is perfection. Which is your favorite room? Welcoming Fall

10 Oct

We are finally getting that crisp air that comes with Fall. I love bundling up under a chunky blanket with a warm cup of tea. The warm colors of autumn they are so welcoming and cozy.  Bringing fall decor into your home is easy. You can add a spiced candle, chunky knit or fur throws, or warm metal accents. I have gathered some of my favorite images that make me excited for Fall and some easy accessories you can grab to warm up your home for the changing seasons.

I love the bright open solarium space. The glass ceiling and layering of the rugs make this space the star of the home. I love the collections of items throughout this home. They add a lot of character. One great idea of Katie’s I love is if she finds an area rug she loves, but doesn’t have the right spot for it she has it made into pillow shams. Genius! Which is your favorite spot in this home?
