Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I have quite a treat for you. I have a wonderful guest post from Design Shuffle to share with you. If you haven’t heard of them you should definitely check them out! I hope you enjoy!
Hello, everyone! It’s Mari here from Design Shuffle, the fantastic online community for interior designers and design lovers from around the world. Writing for Design Shuffle, I often have the pleasure of doing guest posts for great blogs like The Suite Life. What a clever name! Today’s topic is all about the perfect gray. With so many shades of this lovely and newly rediscovered neutral, it can be difficult to settle on just one perfect hue. The good news about that interior design dilemma is it really isn’t necessary to choose only one—just be sure the mix is compatible. This color scheme works in living rooms, dining rooms and more. A mix of several shades makes for a beautiful gray color palette. For your decorating inspiration, we’ve collected eight perfect grays. Please enjoy!

Pale grays and black are combined with touches of acid green in this cool contemporary living room. Black seems to strengthen, not diminish these soft shades of gray.

From pale to medium hues, grays combined with golden yellows, are gorgeous here. I love the clear acrylic arm chair and the shiny silver tables.

Blue grays and gray greens are perfect for dining room decorating ideas. Here the gray has been carried up onto the ceiling. Pure white woodwork is a great contrast to the walls.

From floor to ceiling and on everything in between, grays look gorgeous in this huge dream kitchen. Fit for any professional or amateur chef, this one is filled with lots of high-end features so it’s functional as well as beautiful.

Dark gray washed cabinets, marble flooring and countertops, along with white subway tile make this kitchen divine. Who could resist those two sturdy and oh, so deep sinks?

Golden tones accent the pale grays in this stylishly chic bedroom design. How pretty are the graphic squares behind the bedside tables?

I’ve been smitten by this elegant and understated bath. The paint and towels are definitely a perfect gray for me. The herringbone design on the floor adds beautiful pattern and texture.

Completely unexpected in a bathroom, these oversized elements—mirror, pedestal and urn—make a unique design statement. In contrast, the small elements—tiny display shelves, wall sconces and framed black and white prints add dimension and depth to the space. The ornate chandelier and deep tub beckon one to enjoy a long leisurely soak. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
